I have been quoting a lot of athletes lately, and today I want to share something Kobe Bryant, the famous basketballer said.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it’s sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot.”
I really like what he is saying, and it serves as an encouragement to all of us. We all like to complain and blame others for our lack of failure. But, look at what Kobe Bryant says above… he will do whatever it takes to win, not only on the field but wherever he is. If he is seated on the bench next to the field giving his teammates water, he will do it with all his might, so that the team can end up winning.
The two Kobe versions – which one do you like?
Just imagine playing on Kobe Bryant’s team and you walk towards the bench for a bottle of water. There you see Kobe sitting with a grumpy face and blocking the way towards the water bottles. And now, imagine walking towards the bench and there you have Kobe standing with the bottle waiting for you, with a big smile, cheering you on and telling you that this is your day, go for it! Do you see the difference? You can make a difference where you are at today, and winning is about winning where you are right now! Don’t wait for tomorrow to win, start today!
There is no limit to what we can achieve together if we do not care who gets the applause
Very well said!! 🙂
