I just received a comment to one of my blog articles, and the full content of the comment was: “There is no limit to what we can achieve together if we do not care who gets the applause.” I just had to sit down and think about it for a moment, and quickly I understood how true that is!
I am a big fan of football, and I have played football for many years as well. Now my kids are collecting football cards, and it is interesting to see how the people scoring the goals are the “most valuable” players, not only for my kids collecting the cards but also in real life.
But, what about the person passing the ball? He is just as important! The best football player in the world in 2018 is Luka Modric (at least he has been voted to be several times). He isn’t the typical guy scoring lots of goals, but he is fighting like a bear and sending amazing passes, which makes it way easier for his co-players to score those important goals.
There are lots of situations in which we want to get all the applause and all the credit ourselves. But, if we want that, we will hinder success and it will result in failure. If we, however, like Luka Modric, rather care about our teams and the final result, then we are just cheering for one another, and if someone else gets the credit and scores the final goal, we will just know that it was the result of hard teamwork.
I believe that the harvest will come at the right time. Our work is to give our best, do our best, and then God will bless us for the job and take care of us! Maybe you will blow the first trumpet in the orchestra, or maybe you will have the important role of standing in the background – but, do it with all your heart and experience how success will bless you and the entire team!
