It is incredible to see how people with power can turn into abusers of their power. And it is interesting to see that some of the most selfish people out there are those with lots of money.
When I was a teenager and I did not really earn money, I found it to be quite easy to give to my local church and other good causes. I always imagined that it would get even easier as I earned more money, but I was very wrong.
It is interesting to see, that with power and with money, many people tend to change. As soon as people receive power they get attention, and many people can not deal with all the attention and the power, and as a result, their personal lives start falling apart.
I believe that it is so important to have a strong foundation in our lives, and that needs to be a part of us as early as possible. A great example is the one in the Bible when it speaks about building the house on the sand or on the rock. The storms will come, and if we have a strong foundation in our lives, we can stand strong and firm, even when the big storms come. The storms might come with power, with lack of power, with lots of money, with no money at all, with worries, with stress, and in all sorts of way. But, it is our responsibility to be prepared and well trained, so that we can stand strong and firm, even on those days.
